The Sedona Heritage Museum hosts many events for the community ranging from Christmas in the Park to the Fall Arts & Crafts Fair!

The Nuclear West @ Sedona Heritage Museum
Feb 23 @ 10:00 am – 11:00 am

Professor Michael Amundsun, Director of Public History at NAU, will talk about the “Nuclear West”, including downwinders, the Manhattan Project
during WWII, nuclear testing, uranium mining, missile deployment, nuclear reactors, and nuclear waste.

The Museum will host a special exhibit through May on the downwinder story- a “downwinder” is a person living downwind of a nuclear test site or reactor, where the risk from fallout or radiation leaks is greatest. This included many of
Sedona’s families who lived here and in northern Arizona from the 1950s-60s.251419206190497.xikJGifXodZonRKWNXlr_height640
