Love quilting? Got questions? Members of the Red Rock Quilters would love to visit with you! They welcome all levels of quilters, fabric lovers, guests, and traveling quilters. There is no charge for this demonstration.
“The Amazing Kolb Brothers of Grand Canyon: Photographers, Adventurers, Pioneers” with author Roger Naylor. The Kolbs arrived at the Grand Canyon in 1902 to seek their fortune. For nearly eight decades, these intrepid brothers explored and photographed the Grand Canyon from rim to river, rappelling down cliff faces, running the Colorado River’s rapids, and exploring every corner of the canyon via foot, boat, and plane.
The Verde Valley Woodcarvers, with members from beginners to master carvers, was formed in 1997 by Norm Knight. They have had hundreds of people try their hand at carving since then with several members meeting weekly. Come by with your own equipment or just come to watch these artisans do relief carving, chip carving, and found wood and bark carving. There is no fee for this demonstration.
Do you have an interest in weaving, spinning, basket making, dyeing yarns, or knitting? If so, come join the members of the Verde Valley Weavers and Spinners Guild while they practice their art and share their love of fiber arts. Feel free to watch, or bring your spinning wheel and yarns and join in the fun. They would be happy to answer any questions. There is no charge for this demonstration.
